Grupo Argos
Grupo Argos S.A is a Colombian conglomerate owner of the construction materials producer called Cementos Argos. It has operations in several American countries. Argos was founded in 1934 and is Headquartered in Medellin, Colombia.
The conglomerate has several companies: Argos (Cement and concrete) , Odinsa ( management and development of road and airport infrastructure projects), Celsia (energy) Pactia (construction). It also has investments in groups such as Sura (insurance and financial) and Nutresa (food).
It is the fourth largest cement producer in the United States and it exports cement and clinker to 27 countries around the world.
Its cement company Argos has operations in Colombia, the United States, Panamá, Honduras and the Caribbean. Celsia, its energy company, owns hydro, thermal, and wind power generation plants in Colombia, Panamá, and Costa Rica and distributes energy to more than 500,000 customers in Colombia. Grupo Argos also has investments in port facilities and real estate in Colombia.

Revenues in 2018 for the Argos group were USD 4,146 Billion of which 59% corresponded to revenues from Argos (Cement and concrete), 24% Celsia (Energy), 13% Odinsa (road and airport infrastructure projects) and 4% in other investments with a 32% increase in profit compared to last year’s results.
